We are home and back to the daily grind! We had such a great trip- but the kids are worn out (me too!) Colin, Eily and I all came down with colds- yuck! We are traveling to St. Louis this weekend for their cousin Lyla's 2nd birthday. I am so not looking forward to the drive- but it will be nice to catch up with Erics' family. Some exciting news to report- Colin has had "dairy" without a reaction- YIPPEE! I spoke with his doctor about his dairy/soy allergy. I have been losing sleep worrying about someone mistakenly giving him something (you must see the warning signs I have hung throughout the house). She explained that he has a "dairy intolerance" and a "soy allergy". We must stay clear away from soy, but can begin to offer him dairy in small amounts. He couldn't be happier about the cheese :) He has had a few tiny hives, but everyday he is exposed there is less and less. We also see the allergist next month. I want a full test done to make sure we are careful- but...there will be ice cream in his future soon :)
Oh i so love these pictures. He is the cutest baby boy i have ever ever seen! I love those bottom two teeth. Katie, he is growing up way way too fast! Just seeing his smiling face makes my heart smile. We are so very lucky to have him in our lives. I was driving to work today thinking of what great mothers we both are and i am so so very thankful for you! (and Erik and Eily too. Yes, i can picture the signs around your house - i would do the same! Funny!!!! Great news about dairy products - yes, he must be able to eat icecream - its such a joy. Well i hope after your trip this weekend you have some time to relax and everyone get well again. Well talk soon! Can't wait for our next get together!
